I guess the first question is, what is Aegosexual? It's not a main label for a sexuality. It's a micro label of asexuality, and it is the label I claim for myself. I spent a lot of time thinking I was pansexual, or demisexual pan. Which is a fine label, but it really didn't click with me. There was something of it off. Well, this is all about a disconnect between arousal and subject of arousal.
I experience no sexual attraction whatsoever, yet I write erotic romance and consume erotic media. I still experience arousal, but only in connection to these fictional scenarios. I'm sex positive, so I'm alright with sex, it can be fun, but I still don't get the whole sexual attraction piece of the puzzle. So, I guess that's how I can be asexual and write so much sexually explicit material.
